Q: Purpose of fumigation
A: For import clearance.
Q: The way of fumigation
A: There are two ways of fumigation: the use of drugs and heat treatment.
(1) Drug treatment generally adopts Methyl bromide and ethylene oxide to spray evenly in confined Spaces such as carriages or containers, and then fumigate for 24 hours after sealing and closing. The drug fumigation requires the outdoor temperature to reach more than 10 ° C, if the outdoor temperature is below 10 ° C, the heat treatment method must be used.
(2) Heat treatment is through ten minutes of high temperature and high pressure, the wood packaging of viruses, bacteria, bugs and so on are killed. For example, the wood chip tray is generated by this treatment. Fumigated wooden pallets or wooden cases will be stamped with the IPPC mark to prove that they have been fumigated, and a fumigation certificate must be issued before export with the goods. This operation is carried out by the fumigation company, and the fumigation company issues the fumigation certificate after the completion of fumigation.
Fumigation certificate: It is used to prove that the export of peanuts, rice, plants, beans, oilseeds, wood and other goods that are easy to spread insects, as well as the packaging of wood and plant stuffing, has been fumigated insect control certificate.

Q: Countries and regions requiring fumigation
A: United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Korea, Turkey, Chile, New Zealand, etc.
Eu countries: Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Poland, Ireland, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Cyprus, Hungary, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Slovakia, Slovenia
Southeast Asia, the Middle East Indo-Pakistan line, Africa do not require wood fumigation. But wood products to these three areas can not bring bark.
Q: Fumigation requirements
1. Fumigation time:
The fumigation must reach 24 hours. After fumigation, the fumigation team will place fumigation signs on the cabinet door. After 24 hours, the fumigation team will remove the sign, and it will take 4 hours to disperse the poison before it can be arranged to enter the port.
2. Packaging requirements:
Wooden packaging should not have bark or worms. If the wood packaging has bark, the general customs broker will help the customer to remove the bark. If bug holes are found, the shipper needs to be notified to change the packaging.

Q: Fumigation can be divided into FCL fumigation and LCL fumigation
Full container fumigation:
1. It is not necessary to add "IPPC" mark: the goods are packed directly after arriving at the site, inform the fumigation team to fumigate, and spray different scales of fumigation agents according to different destination countries, divided into CH3BR and PH3. If the customer has no special requirements, the fumigation team sprays CH3BR agent and fumigates for 24 hours.
2. Need to add "IPPC" mark: after the goods are delivered to the site, they will first land on the site, inform the customs agent of the landing position of the goods, the fumigation team will mark "IPPC" on the front and back of each package, and then arrange the site to pack, and then fumigation
3. Fumigation of packaging: Submit the documents for inspection to the customs for commodity inspection, and then fumigate the packaging specifically.
LCL fumigation:
The fumigation of LCL cargo can be placed in the same container for fumigation, but the following four conditions must be met:
1). Same destination
2) The same country
3). Same voyage
4). Apply for inspection at the same commodity inspection Bureau

Q: What is the fumigation process?
1) If the factory is not located in the city where the export port is located, fumigation must be carried out in the local factory.
2) Apply for inspection 7-8 days in advance to the local commodity inspection bureau;
3) Provide packing list, invoice, contract and letter of authorization for inspection to the Commodity Inspection Bureau;
4) Agree with the commodity inspection Bureau to conduct commodity inspection;
5) The factory shall provide a fumigation site, if the temperature is low, it must be carried out indoors;
6) After fumigation, ask for fumigation certificate from Commodity Inspection Bureau;
Q: Precautions for fumigation
1) Wood packaging meets the requirements of IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention Organization). For example, no bark, and itself is new wood, no soil and humidity does not exceed 20%. The appearance is bright, relatively smooth, without too much worm eyes and mildew and other phenomena. Stamp the IPPC stamp and fumigate the drug.
2) In order to ensure the fumigation effect, the carriage/container door shall not be opened within 24 hours.
3) The product packaging should not be completely sealed, such as the envelope to retain some gaps to a certain extent, so that fumigation drugs can enter the pallet or wooden frame of log packaging, to achieve the real fumigation effect. The purpose of killing pests and eggs has been achieved.
4) Fumigated (disinfected) wood packaging should be shipped as soon as possible within 21 days, and pay attention to separate storage, and isolated from other untreated wood products and wood. The fumigation (disinfection) certificate is valid for 21 days.
